As a fully listed member of CSIET since 1990, P.I.E. has been identified as a reputable international exchange program.  Pacific Intercultural Exchange follows CSIET Standards for International Education Travel Programs.  The CSIET listing certifies that P.I.E. provides meaningful and safe international exchange experiences.

The Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) is a not-for-profit organization committed to quality international educational travel and exchange for youth at the high school level.  The purpose of CSIET is to identify reputable international youth exchange programs, to provide leadership and support to the exchange and educational communities so that youth are provided with meaningful and safe international exchange experiences, and to promote the importance and educational value of international youth exchange.

CSIET is committed to establishing standards for international travel, monitoring compliance with the standards and sharing information about organizations operating international educational travel and exchange programs at the high school level on behalf of schools, communities and educational groups in the United States.
