Becoming a P.I.E. Area Representative

Managing the program for the exchange students and families is probably the most enjoyable and rewarding aspect of being a P.I.E. Area Representative. It is through monthly contact that representatives guide these young ambassadors through the maze of living in another culture. There are triumphs and challenges in each program as the students and the families learn to adapt to each other, but life long friendships are formed.

P.I.E. Area Representatives all share the desire to promote cultural and international understanding in their local area. Children are our future and they make up the future of the world we live in. People like you donate time, energy, and experience in a variety of ways. As a P.I.E. Area Representative, you will see international students adapt to American culture, develop friendship bonds, improve their English skills, experience new activities, and overall, learn valuable life lessons.
