Schools Overview
Exchange students can enrich classroom discussions. An international perspective helps current event lessons take on a new significance or history another meaning. International students share a desire to learn about American culture, American people, and the English language.
Participants must be enrolled in a full course of study at an accredited institution and Pacific Intercultural Exchange encourages students to strive for academic success and to serve as ambassadors for their country. International students speak English well enough to attend a high school, are carefully screened for their readiness to participate in the exchange, and must maintain at least a “C” average while on program.
Schools can be assured that each P.I.E. student will have a local Area Representative who will act as the liaison between the school, the host family, and the exchange student. Area Representatives honor school and host family guidelines as well as US Department of State Regulations and CSIET Standards.
Technology brings the world closer together and hosting a P.I.E. student in your school empowers students to think globally. Help bridge cultural differences and introduce diversity by welcoming foreign exchange students in your high school!
