Study Abroad Program for American Students
Pacific Intercultural Exchange’s Passport Program offers a variety of academic and non-academic homestays for American students interested in participating in an overseas exchange. American teens have the opportunity to visit many countries including Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Mexico, Japan and Spain.
Academic stays (for students aged 15-19 years old) include semester or full school year programs. A student participating in an academic program will live as a member of a selected host family and attend the local public high school nearest the family.
Non-academic summer programs include both language/activity exchanges and family homestays. Students participating in non-academic programs must be between the ages of 14-20 years old and are matched with a selected host family.
American students interested in applying for programs abroad should submit their applications by the following deadlines:
- Summer: April 30th
- Academic Year or First Semester: April 30th
- Academic Second Semester: October 31st
Interested participants may request detailed information about the countries offered and prices by completing the Exchange Student Pre-Application.
